International Admissions
We are excited to welcome international students and offer them a unique opportunity to study at one of the leading Waldorf schools in the United States. Austin Waldorf School provides a fully accredited Waldorf (Steiner) education, combined with strong academics, a vibrant athletics program, and a beautiful natural campus. Our graduates achieve 100% college acceptance.
Applications for the 2026–2027 school year closed on July 1, 2026.
Applications for the 2027–2028 school year will open in October, 2026.
How To Apply
Language Expectations
As all of our classes are taught in English, we expect at least an intermediate level of English.
To ensure this level, we ask that the students complete a test of their choosing among the following:
- Cambridge
- TOEFL
- IELTS
- PTE
We currently don't offer ESL English classes, or English language support.
Discover Our High School
At Austin Waldorf High School, students are encouraged to think deeply, work creatively, and grow into confident, independent young adults. Each day combines focused academic study with artistic and practical experiences, from blacksmithing and stained glass to music, drama, languages, and athletics. It is an education designed to engage the whole student.
Explore Austin, Texas
Austin is Texas's quirky, creative capital, best known for its live music, arts and culture, excellent food scene, and outdoorsy lifestyle.
A student can spend a year exploring neighborhoods like South Congress and East Austin, swimming at Barton Springs, kayaking on Lady Bird Lake, seeing live music, and taking weekend trips into the scenic Texas Hill Country.
Accommodation
We warmly welcome international students in our boarding house. The boarding program will launch in the 2027-2028 school year, provided that the threshold of 6 students is met. If not, the school will arrange for host families to host the students in their homes.
