August 12, 2013 - Austin Waldorf School Alumni Awards

Three Austin Waldorf School Alumni were the recipients of an award recently established by AWSNA to acknowledge Waldorf Alumni who are agents of change in the world.  Bethany Reed (class of ’11), Ariana Zaia (class of ’12) and Sophia Zaia (class of ’13) were awarded certificates and checks of $500 each in a public event during the conference.  The applause was deafening and while there is every reason to be proud of these young people, it is also a deep relief to know that our alumni are no different than those at other schools all over the world.  Waldorf students just have that special something that marks them and allows them to stand out.  Our students stand with others side by side in their contribution to the world and to humanity.
